It's safe to say you probably won't be disappointed with anything on the menu! The food was great. I had the breakfast wrap with grits and a single red velvet French toast and my husband had the chicken and waffles. I had a minor issue when the food came but the manager resolved the issue quickly and professionally. Overall a great breakfast spot.

The egg and dairy industries are not at all vegan or even vegetarian friendly. I think the owners should watch the short video Dairy is Scary or just educate themselves on the matter in other ways and realize how much suffering is involved in providing those unnecessary options for their predominantly vegan customers.

I had the Truffle Lentil Meatloaf which was great until the end of the meal when the Meatloaf had a weird crunch in several bites not too sure what that was.

Can't wait to come up here again! First time dining at an all-vegan restaurant! My coworker suggested this place. I ordered the Gyro with waffle fries and was beyond amazed how delicious it was. This is the 2nd location that opened up. I was looking forward to our visit at The Chicago Diner after reading about it and seeing pictures, especially as I've never been able to eat an American Diner before. We were not disappointed with our choices. Portions are large - most guests seemed to be taking a leftover box.

I always get the BLT and it is consistently good. Sometimes the bacon is blackened and I hate burned food. First time I ordered a vegan shake was at this place and it was a letdown after all the hype. Wouldn't order a shake again. Mac and teese wasn't my thing, quinoa chili was good, and the nachos are amazing. I would definitely recommend the nachos to share or have as an entree.

Some of the tables are too close together. This restaurant is a veggie lovers dream! First there are so many delicious sounding items on the menu that it is difficult to even make a decision as to what to order. I have returned to the restaurant many times - on every trip to Chicago. My favorite item on the menu is the portabella truffle melt. The Cajun Black Bean Veggie Burger is amazing - but very spicy only get this if you like spicy food - especially the sauce. The kale white bean soup is incredible and also all of the specials that we have tried. Service was great. My family and I just visited The Chicago Diner for my birthday.

We ended up getting the sweet potato fries and the Thai chili wings as appetizers because, unfortunately, they were out of waffle fries! Both were amazing! Everything was SO delicious! Since I was my birthday, I got a free slice of cake and chose the Caramel Crunch Torte and it was fantastic! Very sweet and moist! Unfortunately, I didn't have room for a milkshake, but I will definitely be getting one next time I go! The food is like if someone was too lazy to microwave their own Morningstar and Amy's so they came and payed double for a restaurant to do it for them.
